Quemedás

"On this day, we literally waited outside until they opened. We weren't the only ones waiting for them to open. I'm upset with myself that I didn't try this place sooner. It was literally across the street from where we always stay. Spent a week there and went to Quemedas 4 times, always for breakfast. The presentation of the food was unlike anything I have seen anywhere else. The first day I asked an employee who the chef was. I spoke to him and told him it looked so well presented that I felt like I was eating a piece of art! :-) Over the course of the week I also met the owner, Jorge. It was obvious why the employees cared so much because he was all over the place and it was obvious he cared greatly that his customers were satisfied. The serving sizes are large and the food was excellent, our entire family agreed. The Gofres (waffle) became my favorite. They have an extensive menu and once I work my way past the breakfast menu, I look forward to trying the other menus. And the entire restaurant, along with the bathrooms, is very clean, which is important to me. You can tell they care! Can't wait to get back there and it will be summer of 2026, if not sooner. "The food was delicious! It was finally possible to get some veggies and fresh bread for breakfast instead of just toast. The decor was charming, and the staff was very friendly. I gave one star less because the coffee wasn't the best. Highly recommend!"

"Nice breakfast/ brunch place with great extensive menu. Very much inspired by New York kind of deli. Excellent space and decor with great lighting. Food was averagely good even though the bagel is a bit too dry for my liking, drinks especially coffee could have been better . Overall a nice place to go to when in the city. I would go back to try more from the menu."

"What a portion! This is just what I needed to start the day. I ordered the Granby (sp?) Vegan style. The baked beans were delicious and they managed to get my cappuccino to be hot with thick goal using soy milk! The sausage was more like a hotdog, I would ask to substitute it for more bacon next time. I'm not sure they'll oblige, but I'd give it a shot. The interior design is wonderful. I was immediately happy and comfortable upon entering. Everything is brightly colored."
